One for the lepidopterists out there

Does anyone know what this will hatch into ?

Seems quite large compared to your average pupa and am wondering if it will spawn a massive butterfly or moth. Found it while cleaning out one of the vinyl houses in the autumn last year and looks like it's still alive as it moves from time to time.

My God !!!!!

I think you might be right, are you secretly a world renowned lepidopterist or just a keen amateur ?

I searched a few pictures on Google of different butterflies but gave up after a while. Have a gold star

I'm still impressed, up until today I didn't even know Hawk moths existed.

This is the first time I've ever seen one but they do look beautiful. Quite keen to see this one hatching out.
