I agree with you LeeB. Tourism money is one thing but the cost of generating that money and the cost to infrastructure and the environment could be huge. Frequently the infrastructure is not equipped to handle the extra load and to compensate, the locals must do without...

Hi Chris

sounds good, there is a really big cafe culture growing here, there is a couple buying my veggies that opened in a local kominka and they are going great, dont know much about koyasan been meaning to go there actually. I picked shizuoka because of its natural beauty, we have wasabi, tea, mikan, good sea food etc here and fuji. its also on the shinkansen line so its a short trip to tokyo or nagoya.
