Thank you Zasso for the information.

The grubs are back for round two! Dangomushi are also attacking my peppers! :angry-screaming:

Those grubs will be around for the rest of the summer and autumn, are your peppers touching the ground ? Generally dangomushi will eat any soft fruit in contact with the soil but I guess if they are very hungry they might climb up into the bushes to munch, you could smear a band of vaseline around the main stalk of your plants to stop them climbing up. That would also stop ants from taking aphids up into the plants as well.

They are climbing up into the leaves. My mature plants are ok, but they can completely destroy a young plant in a single night.

I've been seeing them eating the leaves, but maybe they're getting some help from slugs at night.

you should be putting beer out for the poor slugs. they love a tipple at night. Also they fall in and die.

Yeah I really need to do that. I wasn't doing it recently because the rain would just wash it away.

You can put little roofs over your slug traps to keep the rain out.
